No. 11 Different Worlds

Before I was born, my mum played music with four friends. There's a photograph of them in our living room. Evie, Grace, Angela, Kate and my mum. (p.6)

I read a book called Different Worlds. This is a romantic story. The main character is a deaf woman, so she feels she lives a different world. One day, she falls in love with Jim who is a musicion. However she worries about their worlds too different because she can't hear anything. Although Jim loves her too! In the end of this story is happyend. I was touched by emotional ties and family bond. I can understand the deaf people's feeling.

book number 10,The Piano

SIR ANTHONY EVANS PLAYS LISZT. The words above the door of the theatre were a metre high. On the wall there was a big picture of Sir Anthony at the piano. Hundreds of people were waiting outside the ticket office. (p.1)

I read a book, "The piano." The main character is Anthony. He was very poor at first. So, he woked on firm. At that time, many people loved music but, most people couldn't hear the music at the concert. That's because the concert's tickets was very expensive. Anthony also loved music but he never played the piano. One day, he found a beautiful old piano. Then he tried to play. Surprisingly, he could play very well though he never played it! I was very surprised at this. In the end of this story, he could be a pianist who is the most popular.

book number 9, The Elephant Man

He did not look like a man. He looked like an elephant. I read the writing under the picture. It said: Come in and see the Elephant Man. 2 pence. I opened the door and went in. There was a man in the shop. He was a dirty man in an old coat with a cigarette in his mouth. 'What do you want?' he asked. (p.2)

I read a book, "The Elephant Man." I was surprised at the story because this is true story. There was a man who is poor, ugly. And nobody loved him, everyone laughed at him. He was taken care of, like an animal, by shopkeeper until he met a doctor. The doctor was interested in him, so he took him in his hospital. In the end, the man could have happy life thanks for the doctor.

book number 8, A Little Princess

One cold winter day a little girl and her father arrived in London. Sara Crewe was seven years old, and she had long black hair and green eyes. She sat in the cab next to her father and looked out of the window at the tall houses and the dark sky. 'What are you thinking about, Sara?' Mr. Crewe asked.(p.1)

I read a book, "A little princess." Sara is very rich little girl and very kind to everyone. But one day, something terrible things happens to her. Her father's money is stolen by someone. So, she is very poor and she has to work.I think it is impressed story. And it is easy to read.
